The challenge
With staff and defined-term contractors spread across three locations, RRPS struggled to calculate timesheets accurately, manage attendance and productivity, and meet audit requirements. Some staff also had difficult-to-read fingerprints, so a single-modality system was not enough.
The solution
RRPS chose NCheck on-premises, enrolling staff with a USB fingerprint scanner and a normal webcam. The system combines face and fingerprint biometrics, supports mobile check-in (including when staff board the school buses) with location tracking, and works offline with automatic sync when reconnected.
Results
- On-time attendance increased within a few weeks
- Overall school productivity improved
- Several payroll and accounting issues corrected
- Accurate records maintained for contractual staff
